Recharge ♥

Like I said in my last post, life has been a ball of stress lately. My first round of summer courses have come to a close, and with that a giant cloud of homework has dissipated as well. I love how quickly summer courses end, but man, are they ever intense... I feel like I've been writing a paper ever night for the past six weeks. It's really put a cramp in my crafty style. ;)

Outside of school stresses, I've been dealing with a lot of ups and downs regarding my living situation (darn leasing office)... I won't bore you with details, but my apartment complex is a pain. I may need to move out in two weeks time and then I'll have about two weeks between moving out and moving into the new place. Anddd I haven't packed anything. Like, at all. Andddd I got it into my head that I should do lots of fun DIY projects before moving. Silly me (that's not happening!)

Last night, I got home from work and immediately started thinking about all the things I needed to do, which quickly got overwhelming. I soon realized that I was just burnt out. I had finally finished my classes, I had met a few crafty deadlines, and I was just beat. So I curled up on the couch, watched Supernatural, and did not craft. I cannot tell you how rare that is for me... To watch TV & not multitask?! That's wild. But it was so refreshing.

So this weekend is about recharging my batteries. I may comb Pinterest and do a little casual brainstorming. I may organize some junk around my apartment. I may fiddle with a project. But I am first and foremost going to relax. Today I gave myself a pedicure. I'm telling you... It's a wild weekend. ;)

How do you relax after a busy, tiring season?

  1. Good luck Mon!

When I get too busy and then suddenly get free time afterward (like what's happening to me right now), I usually forget how to relax. I'm like, "I'm doing nothing. I need to do something!" Hope you get to recharge before your moving! :)

  2. It's ok not to be crafty all the time. A little time just vegging out is good for everyone. I curled up with a book last night. No crafting at all! *gasp* ;)
